An honour to work on one of Richard Harris' last films in which he portrayed the wildlife activist George Adamson. To obtain the shots where both he and his assistant were attacked by their own lions a full head and neck of a male African lion was built.

Mounted on a body rig and with a full range of head and neck movement the finished lion gave the film makers great flexibility in their shots.

The head was also used when Adamson nurses a sick lion.
