Silicone dummies to accurately match two 8 year old actors. Probably the most demanding job we had in 2007. The script required accurate body doubles for two 8 year old actors to be used in stunt sequences involving a fast flowing river and waterfall.
As we only moved into our new workshop in April it was a daunting task to get it all equipped and ready to handle a project as demanding as this.
However, we succeeded to the great satisfaction of Erik and all at Paradox. We thank them for their faith in us! And thanks also to Duncan and Maria for all their excellent work.
(We only have photos at present, but we'll try and get some video up when released by Paradox.)
(Above left.) Jens - the real live original. Head and body casts are taken of the actor playing the boy.
From these casts we were able to create a lifelike duplicate head and body, complete with armature mechanisms to facilitate positioning for the on set shoot.

(Above right.) Part of the Elektrik Effekts philosophy is that nothing should be left to chance, so as part of the development of the body doubles we carried out extensive underwater tests to determine what level of detail we would have to create to achieve lifelike results.
